LBI Photographer :: Ship Bottom Beach Fun {Csaszi Kids}

Every year I receive lots of requests for sessions down the shore. Although I am not a beach person, I love taking pictures at the beach. An endless sandy backdrop along beautiful breaking waves. What is not to like? And  I am a big fan of off-season beach sessions. Either early Spring or early Fall. No crowds, mild weather, and you still get all the wonderful beachy benefits.

This September afternoon session was practically perfect. The kids had Ship Bottom Beach all to themselves. We had beautiful light and ideal weather. It was on the windy side, but no one seemed to mind- how could they? There was too much playing in the sand to do to worry about the wind. As I type this today, on a chilly January evening, I wish I were back at LBI under the warmth of the sun! It is nice to know that it will only be a few more months until I can be back there again. Until then, stay bundled up, grab some hot cocoa, and enjoy these photos from warmer days!

NJ Baby Photographer :: Garden Birthday {Brynn Turns One}

I first met Brynn when she was just 10 days old. I later had the honor of documenting her Christening. Getting to actually become part of people’s lives is an amazing part of my job. In some instances, I get to watch families grow and I am welcomed in to capture important moments and milestones. I don’t take that lightly, and I realize what a unique situation that is. I am very lucky to have built these types of relationships with many of the families I photograph. It makes all the difference in what I do. It keeps me from feeling like I do a job rather than do what I love. For Brynn’s portraits we headed to Sayen Gardens. It was a lovely September day, and just starting to feel like Fall. What I remember most about the session was how much fun it was. It really was! We chatted and talked about what has been going on in our lives since I had seen them last, and all the while I was busy taking photos. We finished it off with a cupcake/cake smash and let Brynn get a little messy! Here are some photos from our session together, and I am pretty sure that Brynn will be gracing the blog again in years to come. Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Hamilton, NJ Park :: Beautiful Fall Afternoon {The Farkas Family}

I keep looking at the images from this session. They represents the glorious colors that were on the trees prior to Sandy coming and blowing most of them away. It was essentially the trifecta of a perfect fall session: vibrant colors, happy family, and the golden hour (right before the sunset). I share this with you today, on the eve of another storm here in the Tri-State area, as a reminder of what surrounded us just a week and a half ago. Here’s hoping you all stays warm, and dry these next few days. Happy Fall to everyone!

A Princeton Engagement Session :: Love Amongst the Ivy {Erin & James}

Erin & James knew from the get go that they wanted to do their E-session at Princeton University. If you have ever been on campus, you know why. The architecture is amazing. The pristine grounds and beautiful old buildings have so much character and charm. The ivy covered walls made a perfect backdrop for this Princeton Engagement Session.

Just as we were about to begin, we were hit with a major downpour. Thankfully, about five minutes after the heavens opened up, it came to a stop. Other than avoiding the puddles, the rest of our session was dry. From that point on, it was a walk in the park. Or a walk around campus, as the case may be. But seriously, these two made my job easy. They were comfortable and fun, and everything just flowed. They kissed, they twirled, they jumped, they laughed. We all had a blast.

I highly recommend Princeton Campus for sessions. The options are endless! Here’s a look at some of the images we captured that day.
