Every wedding day is filled with all these wonderful little moments that are strung together to form one of the best days of your life. They are filled with laughter, light, and emotion. Of all these moments, there are those that stand out. That shine a little brighter. One of the wedding day traditions that I adore, are the letters shared between the Bride and Groom on the morning of their big day. I don’t get to read those heartfelt notes, but I don’t need to. The emotion, the reaction, it says it all. I get so emotionally invested, I really do. You find yourself wanting to cry along with them, or to join in the laughter and excitement, and often I do.
The role of a wedding photographer is so much more than just taking pictures. Anyone can take a photo. You really need to go beyond that, and see deeper. What I love about documenting weddings is that I get to be a part of making that day last in their memories. When I look at these two images, I can clearly remember that moment along with all the emotions that came with it. If I can give that to my couples, then I have accomplished what I set out to do.
